About Fit Life Over 50

FLO/50 head coach Ginger Conlon loves a good mud run. Burpees… not so much.

Hello. I’m FLO/50 head coach Ginger Conlon.
I love to exercise. I also love chocolate and wine.

And at 60, I have to work my way around runners knee, arthritis, and the many “joys” of menopause (2am hot flashes anyone?). After searching the web for a fitness program that addresses the issues unique to this life stage — and not finding one — I decided to create it.

No quick fixes here. Fit Life Over 50 is about developing and maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle that’s right for you — for the long term.

Why work with me and FLO/50?

I’m a certified fitness trainer, health coach, and a certified goal coach and transformation life coach. I believe that the best exercise is the exercise you’ll actually do. I embrace and espouse balance: healthy eating and treats, exercise and recovery, movement and sleep.

I’ve achieved some of my biggest fitness accomplishments since turning 50: I tied for first place at my first-ever speed-walk marathon, beat my personal best time for a 10K (originally reached at 28), and completed nearly a dozen half marathons—even achieving “first place female” in my age group in the frigid, hilly Go Hard or Go Home half marathon at 54.

I’ve spent much of my professional life as a business journalist, which means that FLO/50 content will cut through the jargon to deliver the knowledge you need to achieve your fit-lifestyle goals. A fitness enthusiast, I look at wellness through the lens of discovery: What else can I learn, how can I do better or take a more effective approach, what’s hype and what’s real….

I’d love to share my enthusiasm, expertise, and insight with you. Come along with me and, together, we’ll find your fit. Because living fit never gets old.
